Oh, science. Oh, Spring. Oh, future...

The other night Evan and I were talking about cooking. Evan is a very good cook; I’m passable, but I’m pretty messy about it. I mentioned this to Evan, and he agreed. Hah! I was surprised at his forwardness, and he said “It’s true, you’re messy.” I countered, laughing: “But you’re messy too!” He thought about this for a while, and then said slowly “You make frequent messes quickly; I make one big mess after a long time. You’re better about cleaning it up though.” Haha! He was so right. I thought it was really funny. He knows me ;-)

Oh, how the winds have changed. I’m excited about a lot of things right now, most of them months in the future, and some you probably don't know about (oooo secret!). At the moment I am feeling burdened with science, though. Ugh. Get off me!

I'm rediscovering tennis. We--some friends and I--played a TON over the summer, and I had so much fun doing it. We've played a few times recently and I've got the bug again. The weather is warming up and it's the perfect time to pull out the ol' racket and crack open a fresh can of tennis balls (oh, Cassie--I miss you!)

Spring is my favorite time to be on campus. They plant tulips, red and yellow, all over the place. They're SO pretty at first, bright and happy. They make me want to lay on the sunny benches and read, or sketch; they make me want to play frisbee, tennis, football, catch--anything fun and active; they make me want to watch a baseball game and eat a hotdog; they make me want to wander around campus, hand-in-hand with my baby; they make me want to take pictures. I'm so glad Winter is over. Time to break out the flip flops again.
