"Oh, uh...thanks..."

So I told the boss-man today--no more! must...do...SOMETHING...wheeze...and his response? Well, here...here's a book to read. Chapters 1 and 2 are good....bla bla bla...and you should spend some time reading up on this GPS device....bla bla bla...I need someone who knows how to use it...blablabla....I'm leaving for the rest of the day...waterheater.......bla" And there you have it, folks. Everything's solved! omg. does he really even....? No, he doesn't. Anyway, I'm just going to clench my teeth and hold out for a better day. I got invited to play Ultimate Frisbee on Saturday. I'm excited, I need friends who play sports and will get me outside. Friends like that are essential. Go get some, if you don't believe me!

Did I ever talk about San Antonio? I don't think I did, so here I go. I love it there, and not simply because my love is there right at this very moment (though it does help). I love the atmosphere, the enthusiasm, his family (they're so friendly and fun!), the Riverwalk, the drive there, etc etc. It's just a good place to be. This weekend we walked the famous Riverwalk, checked out an Arts and Crafts festival, looked at the Alamo (it's so small!!), ate at the Rainforest Cafe, found a tarantula (!!!) and named him Webber. We laid around and watched movies. I watched a banana fight between by boyfriend and his mom (hilarious) and was just altogether very happy.

Ode to the things I remember:

I remember...

when Christmas was absolutely magic
when I knew who I wanted to be
when I read a new book every week
that thunder frightened me
when I was an overachiever
when I convinced people I was allergic to chocolate
when we never made it to the lake before sunset
sitting on a bench, with 12 puppies asleep all around me
when she sat her head on my knee
when he gave me his jacket
eating fruity pebbles
walking through a garden at night
paintball
the sound of the radio echoing through empty halls
the hum of lights in an empty library
hitting one over the fence
dancing barefoot
laughing with my sisters
sleeper waves
bear hugs
flying off a trampoline
woozas (!!!)
