San Antonio and Such

I've come back from San Antonio. It was a 6 hour drive, long stretches of road surrounded by trees and farms and little podunk towns. It's not a bad drive, as far as drives go. It's hilly and green and interesting. I was expecting flooding, rain and more rain but there was...were?... none as far as I saw. It seemed as though I had brought the sunshine with me! It rained not a drop on Saturday, and had only just begun to rain as I left on Sunday. I had a wonderful time, playing Volleyball, hanging out with Evan's family, getting lots of hugs :) It is always, always worth the trip. I come back with a wagging tail and a smile on my face everytime. I miss him already!

As for the story I had promised...The...Wednesday? Tuesday?...before I left, I was driving back from volleyball on campus. There was an enormous storm front moving in from the North, dark and forboding. I was anxious to get home, but on the way I took a wide turn and bumped the curb with my front right tire... say farewell, little wheel! So, there I was: stuck in a parking lot, darkness rolling in the raindrops beginning to fall...Anyway, to make a long story short, I and a friend ended up very wet and dejected, bumn tire still on the car and not coming off. We gave up. Turns out, we had never actually gotten the lugnuts off, just the caps or something. So stupid! And not only that, but my spare had a huge hole in it. Good thing we gave up.
